Hey guys! I have a 2004.5 Auto with about 55000 miles on it . In the mornings when the engine and tranny are still cool the transmission is acting like it is having trouble deciding what gear it needs to be in when I pull out of the driveway.... Its like it is shifting back and forth between 1 , 2 ,and 3stumbling the whole time.. After I drive it a few miles it does not seem to do it .... What gives???? Thanks....

 

Have you checked the fluid? When was the last time you serviced it?

 

If you ahven't recently first thing you should so is to change filter and oil doing a transmission service. Then see if that helps. Manual calls for service every 30K miles.

 

Mine was doing the same thing recently. I've got an 05 with 64,000 miles on it. Took it in to the dealer and it wound up being the pressure governer valve that was bad. Had it replaced and it shifts good now.
