tranny flush

I have a 05 dodge 2500 diesel and have 30000 miles on it what do you guys do for tranny service, flush and everything or just filter and fill, thats what my book calls for at 30,000 but I do tow a little bit but not alot so should I jut do like the book recomends or what.

Being you only have 30K on it just drop the pan change the filter and refill. Also make sure you refill it with AFT+4 fluid not AFT+3 or Dexron and additive. That is how I've done every auto transmission I've owned and I've never had one let me down yet.

What about adjusting the bands?
I know Dodge does it when you take it in for the 30k service.

Lots of discussion on whether this is neccesary or not.
