truck was parked at the airport for four days. got in the truck, drove off and noticed the tow/haul light on the dash was lit- thought maybe i accidentally hit it. turned off the tow /haul mode-left the airport parking lot and got on the highway. after five minutes the tow/haul light came back on, when i was going 60mph-it did engage. turned it back off! happened two more times in a 20 minute span! after the truck was fully warmed up- it never happened again. tranny temps were normal. i have no codes. i manually turned it on and off a couple of times-could not get the truck to do it again by itself. trucks shifts fine,etc. tranny fluid the correct color. any ideas?? just a fluke??

 

I'd say the truck just had a brain fart....i'd keep drivin it and if it happens more often in the future than have it checked out.

I wish I could get mine to come on automatically when I start the truck.

That sounds like a wiring problem to me.
