Will it hurt or bother anything buy using tow/haul mode without hauling anything. A lot of places i go i have to go slow and tow/haul mode helps keep the rpm's down. Just wondering.

 

I don`t think so. I run mine in Tow/Haul when I run through the hills with no load. I don`t like the down shift on the flats without a load. It just seems to make the trans work to much. I really like it for keeping the RPM`s lower.
I`m looking into a T/C control box.

 

not to ask a dumb question but what is a t/c control box and what does it do?

 

It gives you the ability to lock up the torque converter when you want to.

The T/C control will allow more control over the T/C.
It has the ability to keep the T/C engaged when the factory setting would unlock it. It`s a great addition to a multi-clutch T/C.
The T/C is a weak link in the 48RE trans. It`s strong but has it`s limit`s when power is boosted with fueling boxes.
