5000 Miles DWOBBLE BALL JOINTS SHOT!!
Well Finally got the truck back to the dealer today and just rolled over 5000 and took it if for DW problems. They just called and said they couldn't believe it but both ball joints were shot??? What the He&&? I don't really care just hope that they can get it fixed... It first did the death wobble with 500 miles???? Yeah that was awesome.. I had my 05 with 37's and never once. Thank god.. I probably couldn't of kept that beast on the road.. Anyways they said they would have it fixed by morning and if that didn't work they were going to give me a set of brand new tires?? That would be cool.. Maybe I can talk them into 35" toyo's Yep I bet..
I've done extensive searches on here and I will be replacing the front steering stabilizers to help out..

That sucks Shane. I've got a post waiting over in the performance section on crossover steering. I want to nip this thing before it ever happens to me. This is nuts. Dodge needs to do something before someone gets seriously hurt or worse...killed! I've got a 2 year old and another on the way. That's why I'm trying to make this priority.

I hear ya.. I was getting on the freeway and hit a bump at 75 and thought I was gone!! Scared the living crap out of me!!! I don't ever want it to happen again and shure wouldn't want it to happen to anyone? I can't believe with all the trouble I've read with DW they haven't fixed it??

If the DW is what I think it is, how come a better/addition of a steering stabilizer doesnt help? Seems to me back in the day, every 4x4 I saw had the shock/stabilizer mounted on the front of the axle. I dont seem to notice that on the newer trucks, but thats not to say they are not there. Had a buddy with a late 70's early 80's Chevy reg. cab long bed with 36's. That thing was freaky scary. You'd be headed down the road all peacefull and such then all hell would break loose. Felt like both front tires were headed in different directions which was not fun while at speed. I think he slapped a big old hunky shock in place of the little stabilizer. Seemed to calm it down to a more respectable " what was that?" instead of the "OH DEAR GOD WHAT IS THAT!? WE"RE GONNA DIE!"

They always try to sell B/J`s and tie-rods.
Someone had an add for a plate that bolted to the frame, it had a bearing that support`s the Pittman arm shaft at the steering box. This looked to be the fix for poor steering problems. They also had a twin stabilizer shock setup.
I need to find this info. If I can I`ll make a post for it.
