Question Torque convetor lockup

This is going sound stupid but her goes. How often does the torque convertor lock up when driving. The reason I ask is on my juice monitor it does not show the torque convertor is locked up. It has before but stopped doing it recently. truck is not a hot rod but driven daily. Just needing to figure out if somthing is slipping and need to be looked at.Thanks

I think it supposed to lock up anywhere above 35 mph but don't quote me. I've been having trouble with my tranny locking up also.

On mine it locks at 49 and unlocks at 45 if that helps you.

Thanks for the info. Had my speedo calibrated at the dealer on Friday and now the attitude monitor does not show the little lock up indicator. Truck runs fine shows no slippage at all. I wonder if the recalibration changed somthing?

you can tell when lockup occurs when rpm drops after engaging.
after market TC will slip less, so RPM drop will be less upon lockup.

go easy immediately after lockup, as that's when damage is most likely to happen. after lockup is solidly engaged, then apply power.
