Could you possibly have been going up hill abit... or even a head wind... both would contribute to a lack of top speed.

These trucks are capable of 120+ mph stock and easily will break 130 with some more fuel.

Not sure howthey limited the speed but if you reset your pinion factor and your speedo is right then it is limiting off of actual axle revs. That means when you go to a larger tire you will get more speed.

I did have my comp flashed for my 305s. prior to that... with stock 265s my truck wouldnt go above 108mph. after getting a larger tire and having the flash done to calibrate it... i can get 116mph. it seems to top out at a certain rpm. I cant remember dead on, but I think it was like 3250 or either 3450.

Well, if you say you are not sure how they limited the speed... then why accuse them of such?

So how are you getting a stock truck up to 120 if these trucks have speed limiters.
Couple of ways. If you have a sloppy lock cylinder you can back the key off bit and shut down the power train controls and the speed will go beyond the limit, or you can remove the speedlimiter, or just don't recalibrate for the larger tires.
