Could you possibly have been going up hill abit... or even a head wind... both would contribute to a lack of top speed.
Did you reaclibrate your speedo after the tire change and is it accurate? At 100 mph plus a 2-3% difference would show. Not sure howthey limited the speed but if you reset your pinion factor and your speedo is right then it is limiting off of actual axle revs. That means when you go to a larger tire you will get more speed.

These trucks are capable of 120+ mph stock and easily will break 130 with some more fuel.

So how are you getting a stock truck up to 120 if these trucks have speed limiters. My top speed before recalibrating the speedo with the 315s was 100 and then after I recalibrated it will only hit 110 at 2900 rpms.

Well, if you say you are not sure how they limited the speed... then why accuse them of such? I dont see any "speed" limiter - only a rpm limiter.

I did have my comp flashed for my 305s. prior to that... with stock 265s my truck wouldnt go above 108mph. after getting a larger tire and having the flash done to calibrate it... i can get 116mph. it seems to top out at a certain rpm. I cant remember dead on, but I think it was like 3250 or either 3450.

The ECU limits rpm at 3200 and speed at 110 relative. Its not an accusation, guess, or assumption. Its a fact. What I don't know is the algorithm used to determine that speed limit poiint. All the evidence indicates it is a limit on the revolutions read by the ABS, but I cannot say 100% that is what it is, furthermore, its a moot point as there is a speed limiter. Your experiences prove that.

Couple of ways. If you have a sloppy lock cylinder you can back the key off bit and shut down the power train controls and the speed will go beyond the limit, or you can remove the speedlimiter, or just don't recalibrate for the larger tires.

If I dont recalibrate for the bigger tires than my speedo reads less than I am actually going.
