Throttle sticking at the valve body??
Throttle sticking at the valve body??
It been awhile since I've posted guys!! I have a problem where the throttle feels real "sticky" and the truck wont shift out of first gear. The "stickiness" can be felt where the throttle cable linkage connects to the valve body (just outside of the trans), or at the pedal. The sticking is only evident when the truck is running, nice and smooth when the engine isn't running. When you articulate the linkage manually under the truck, right outside the trans, it feels like there is a spring or pressure resisting the movement and a bit of vibration.
When I throttle it up it seems to hang the throttle and rpm doesn't drop right away, kinda scary. I wouldnt want to see it happen at high speed or in heavy traffic. I feel it's either the throttle cable adjustment at the VB or something inside the VB that is the problem. The truck idles fine. I do have an aftermarket trans and valve body.
So any ideas??
