Throttle Sticking

Just as the title says, the throttle on my 96,3500 CTD is sticking, not wide open, and not all the time.
From time to time it will hang up anywhere from 1100-1500 rpms.
Already put a heavier return spring on, Didnt help and made the pedal heavy, So I want to switch back.
Also , truck was just in 2 weeks ago for the throttle linkage recall.
Idle still hangs up.

Im told it could be the throttle Position Sensor? Any truth to that?

Is it possible the dealer did not do the recall service they say they did?

Any other ideas?

Truck is a 96, around 92000 miles new, runs strong, no real problems and I would prefer a fix for this , unfortunately I dont have a ton of time to mes with it and I would prefer to fix rather than droppin it at the dealer.

Thanks

Check the cables, the throttle cable can fray, and if it's an auto the tv cable likes to rust inside if the engine is pressure washed.

I know on my 95 there is a recall on the throttle cable. Did you have this done on yours? I ran till the linkage kept falling off. Luckly it was all covered by the recall.

I just had the recall work performed literally 2 weeks ago.
So its one of two things.
1.The didnt do the repair they claim?
2. Another factor?

Like i had asked, is there any truth to the TPS or any other sensor getting gummed up?
If memory serves me correct, i remember replacing the hard line linkage one before,

There is also that wound spring type housing thing on the front of the linkage, has anyone seen that thing go out?
Spring could have lost its sprung?
