Question Throttle linkage sticking bad. FIX???????

my stupid mid linkage is sticking and not returning. Its the one that pivots and has the tranny kickdown on it. I have the stock spring on it plus a carb spring and the stupid thing still sticks half way open.

Has this happened to anyone else, and how do i fix it? I spray about 1/4 can wd40 on it per week and it works fine for a few days, then it gets stiff again.

I tell you what, its the little things that pi$$ you off the most.

First I'ld replace the offending part , sounds like its rusted enough that what ever lube helps a little but the surface is ruff from rust . then do a search , I've seen posts talk about a recall but I don't know if that includes your truck.

Thats the thing I'm talking about, but mine doesnt have any play at all. Its tight no matter which way you try and move it.

Maybe i will just take it apart and sand it a little. Then add some Molly-B.
