Thought I had a HO...?

I Thought I had a HO but when I went to have a new 4" exhaust on the end piece didn't match the turbo. My mechanic did some checking and the 'Advertised HP" is 305hp on the engine sticker. I can't find any of the old paperwork but wasn't the HO 325hp on the '04?
My window window sticker says HO and the dealer computer says it has a HO in it.

Can someone help me out here?

For better clarification-- you DO have an HO. The 04 HO, though, has a 3.5" elbow on the turbo. The 04.5 HO has a 4" elbow. that is the difference you saw. Buy someones 4" elbow for about $50, put it on the turbo and you are golden.

He's got the elbow for the exhaust covered NOW, the question was whether or not the 305hp was the HO in '04.

Like said above: In '03 and '04, the HO had 305hp/555tq. In '04.5, HO had 325hp/600tq. Both are HO's.

Can't comment on the 325hp but, the 305hp is an excellent motor.

I have figured out why SO many people pull out in front of me when I'm pull'n my 5'er. Because SO many 5'ers are pulled by Fords. I make a special effort to stay right on those people's asses.

Thank's for the info.

What is different about the SO and HO motors besides the rating? Different parts?

I'm in the market for an 03 and I would imagine I want the HO, but I plan on modding it. Is it like buying a Z71(back in the 90s) and then lifting it, thus replacing most of the upgraded suspension components?
