Thinking ? any ideas
K my buddies truck has some problems a couple dtc and know for the weird thing. It wont start cranks and cranks just wont start. We started towing it to the dealer and thought what the heck its manual lets pop in gear and try to pull start. It fired right up drove it a round for a while then shut it off. ont start again just cranks and then we pull started it again. Pull starting it takes like 3 seconds then fires up it doesnt take long. Why would it pull start like that but not start with the key like normal.
Always helps to know what kinda truck your referring to - is it a Chevy? Ford? Dodge? What?
In order of expense = low battery voltage, low battery current due to corroded cables, slow cranking speed due to worn starter brushes/bearings/contacts, rail pressure sensor, injectors, leaking CP3 fuel pump - if it's a '03-up.........
All common problems to all three makes\models CRD - this is the 3rd-gen CRD forum
