TCW3 and Power service

I keep getting mixed responses from reading ALLLLLLL the old threads on this combination. Some have really good success with mixing the two and others say you only need the TCw3 and that the PS takes lubricity AWAY from the TCW3 if you mix it... Trying to get some specific reports from all of you using this.. thanks!

I've got both in my tank right now, can't really tell any difference from just 2 stroke. I personally think best practice is to run 2 stroke, and every few tanks dump PS(or the additive of your choosing) in there for it's cleaning properties. IMO, 2 stroke gives you all of the lubrication you need.

Also do you have a 6.7L or a 5.9L? Pretty sure it's not a good idea to run 2 stroke on a 6.7.

Wouldn't it be beneficial to have a cetane boost with each tank???

That's what I am going to do also. I'm on my 7th tank of 2stroke so I think my next one will be PS just to clean things up if it really even needs it. Man my truck seems to run good with 2stroke.....

2oz. per tank? Iread some long, drawn out review somewhere on the web, maybe here, where it said to use 1 oz. per gal. Is that not right?

2 stroke S/B 1 oz. to 1 gal. of fuel. Roper you shouldn't need to add cetane to your fuel. Are you having starting probs. or running issues? Mixing PS and 2 stroke together is simple to understand. The whole reason for 2 stroke is to add lubricity back into the fuel. PS is a solvent (non lubricative). So basically you are diluting the 2 stroke and taking away the lubricity of the 2 stroke with the PS which is the whole goal of adding 2 stroke in the first place.

Nope, everything runs fine... Actually my best combination has been PS/MMO mix.. Better mileage and Idle is every bit as smooth as the TCW-3.. I just ordered some opti Lube, will have to see how that goes too!

A quart is 32 fluid ounces, so if you are like me, a short bed, and you have a full tank, 1 quart equals 1 ounce per gallon, and for long bed guys, its still pretty close. So one quart at each fill up would not be pushing the limits, maybe 2 quarts would, but not one.

I was just on the Opti Lube site and their XPD is 1 quart for every 64 gallons of fuel.. SO roughly half a quart per tank full of Diesel. The product costs 12.95 PER QUART. So thats about 6.00 a tank to treat with the XPD..
