I am about to wear out 285 70 17 bfg mud terrains and have been thinking about either the Toyo 285 75 17 in the all terrain or the Toyo 295 70 17 mud terrain both come in Load range E. Also considered the nitto terra grappler, my buddie has a set of 305 70 17 and they are a sharp lookin tire. not sure about the longevity of the nitto as they are still new.

i only got 30k hard miles out of the bfg's, really depends on how you drive. toyos are holding up better with same driving habit.

The tire I have had the best luck with is the pro comp extreme all terrian and I loved them had 20000 miles on them when traded the truck in and no wear at all they make a little noise on highway but not much.

Used bfgs since 1980, probably the best all arount AT you can get, routinely ge at least 60K+ out of a set, on heavy 1 ton work vehicles.

Are you wanting these all terrain tires for looks or do they need to perform some specific duty off road?
