Surging at 60-70 mph, out of options need pointers
i have a 2007 crew cab 5.9 ram 2500. It started surging and has cont. to do it. I have changed the pickup, flushed fuel system, new fuel filter, trans filter change. also changed Fuel Control Actuator and new pressure relief valve. I was having hard starts but once the Fuel Control Actuator was replaced it starts perfect. No issues on fuel pressure or idling but once you get going down the road between 65-70 it will start surging. I tried turning off the OD but made no difference. Where can i go from here? Also not one single code thown
OK, your's is an '07 and my old RAM was an '03. On the '03, I would make sure to pull and clean the Mass Air Sensor located on the intake manifold (special aerosol cleaner for this) and the Inlet Air Temperature/Pressure Sensor. If that didn't help, it may be time to have the injectors tested. How many miles on your truck?
