Stutter Stumble Hesitation at low throttle code p2122
The truck has been doing this for aprox. two weeks. check engine light came on and a code p2122 (pps voltage too low) shows on the display. I have cleared it with the smarty. Problem was occuring before the smarty installation. Edge is on stock setting. Side note I justified the smarty because it would clear codes.
It shows right back up? Sometimes the check engine light stays off? At low throttle the truck has an intermittent hesitation. It can happen anywhere from 1400 rpms up to about 2100. The problem has happened at 15 mph on up to 65 mph. It usually does it on the same section of road? There is a hill I go down on the way to work and it does it every morning just like clockwork? At the bottom of the hill it usually clears up. It lasts about 10-30 seconds. On the way home it will usually do it just before I get to the bottom of the hill? What gives? I replaced the pedal position switch/sensor to no avail. It still does it.
I probably should have started by doing the APPS diagnostic test (like the manual said
), but I read so many threads about these pedal position switches going bad I just figured that had to be it......wrong. I need to buy a volt meter. What should I buy where should I get it what sort of functions does it need to have. I've played with them a few times, but have skated through life not actually owning one. Are they all basically the same? Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
TIA

You try resetting it? Turn the key on, but don't start it. Slowly and steadily push the accelerator down all the way to the floor, then slowly and steadily back up. Turn the key off, then start the truck. Or it could be a faulty FCA or the APPS is out of adjustment.
I did replace the apps unit/pedal assembly. And there was no change.
