I have started to notice that when i was hunting and driving slow for a few miles or even slowely in town where 1st gear is only gear, my gas pedal is a little stiffer and the tranny wont shift to second unless I give the gas a quick tap to the floor. then it goes into second and the gas pedal isn't stiff....If I dont do this, it will shift into 2nd only after near red line rpm.....it shifts just fine when driving normal excelarations.

This is my first post so, not sure how else to describe the issue. everything is stock and only 100,000 miles....also, my MPG is only 14.7 to 15.5, is that normal?

 

had the same thing... governor pressure solenoid and governor pressure sensor should fix it
