Strange mix of symptoms
Strange mix of symptoms
I have a strange mix of behaviors that I'm trying to make sense of.
A few weeks ago from time to time while driving my door ajar light would come on, and the dome lights would as well, and I'd hear the motors on the power door locks cycling every couple of seconds. This would last a few minutes then stop and might happen again a few days later. All doors were securely shut so I suspected a bad door switch.
Now its happening nearly constantly and I discovered that it only happens when I'm pressing on the throttle pedal. I can be on level, or up, or downhill but when coasting the dome lights dim and turn off and the door locks quit actuating but as soon as I hit the gas it starts up again.
I tried revving it when in park and it does not happen.
I can now reproduce the behavior 100% of the time.
Any ideas?

My first guess for strange electrical issues, that could be door related, is breaking wires from the b pillar to one of your back doors (Probably driver side). One time, driving through Taos, my truck went all
possessed. lights and locks going crazy. This is a known issue with our model years. You can probably feel it through the rubber cover.
