stock wheel width?

Anyone know how wide the stock chrome clad steel wheels are? I want to buy some Nitto 295s but they require at least an 8" rim and I didn't know if the chrome wheels were as wide as the aluminum or if they are only 7-7.5. I really want new wheels too, but my wife is running out of patience with the amount of money I'm throwing at my truck. I hope to have everything installed soon so I can update my sig - it's killing me!

It's not recommended, but you can easily fit those 295's on your stock wheels.

I have 285's on my stock 6.75" wheels.

The stock Chrome Clad Wheels on the 04.5 are 17x8. All of the chrome clad and alloy wheels on 2500/3500 from 04 up are 17x8 according to the specs I have.

all the single rear wheel wheels that are premium [chrome or aluminum] are 17x8" for the 2500/3500 3rd gens... the spare wheels are 17x7.5 and the cheap silver painted st wheels are the same as spare [but not black in color]
