Stock clutch still going although the truck has 116,000 miles on it and has not been stock for the last 85,000 miles. I've slipped it once or twice with the Quad/VA stack and have done alot of heavy towing (20+K).
~30k with stock engine plus ~20k with engine mods. The stock clutch must be pretty darn good (much better than the 5sp clutch) cuz it's still holding good but I'm careful not to use too much bottom end power. Craig
By bottom end power do you mean out of the hole?
I've always found when you strain a clutch the most or start it to slip, is when you are lugging in a high gear and then stand on it.
Obviously if you are putting lots of power out before the clutch is fully engaged is going to be hard on it too.

Stock for me 127000 miles. of those miles about 5000 with mods. Burnt it real bad once when stuck. Couldnt see the truck in all the smoke and stunk like burnt clutch for 3 days!!! Real easy on it now it is holding up but if your in 6th on the highway and stomp on it the truck has a faint smell of a burning clutch. Just trying to make it last as long as possible then going to a SB. Before me the owner towed a decent size trailer.
I have abused the hell out of my stock clutch and it has held for over 100,000 miles. It seemed to get better with age. It's seen track duty with a hot edge, and held up just fine. It wasn't until I started to stack the ez with the hot edge that it started to slip in the higher gears. I have a 3600 DD south bend ready to swap in, but I'm having fun seeing how long the stocker will go.

First clutch gave out at 225000 miles on my '01. Bone stock, pulling my 32' G/N 75% of the time.
See my post in the G56 thread with regards to my father's '05 which pulls the same trailer and my '08 which pulls bumper pull trailers and goes bobtail.

Hoping mine lasts at least 100k... Gonna start saving for a nicer clutch now!
