Angry still have shift problems HELP!!

had a shudder shift problem on my 2003 dodge 3500 and took the truck in to the trans shop because i didn't know how to change the Governor pressure solenoid and transducer got the truck back yesterday took 1/2 day cost $500.00 at first it was great shifted great then after about 50 miles it started with the same problem only worse. when you start out it will not shift from 1st to 2nd without giving a lot of throttle then 2nd to 3rd is the same and every time you stop it does it again unless you punch the throttle quickly and back off. called the trans shop and was told it could be a faulty Governor solenoid or transducer and if not they would have to go into the trans and see what is not allowing the pressure to get through. My question is what else could it be? Help

I'll subscribe.

I think the design is faulty and the solenoid is prone to plugging with debris. The 'fix' uses a new solenoid mounted at a different angle. Less prone to gunk I would suspect.

don't get ripped off

Hey dale, I just did the same fix and knew nothing about it going in. There are threads on the website that show u how all the way down to torque specs. You're symptoms are definately the solenoid and / or transducer. Did they replace both? sometimes it is one or the other or both. P.s. Once you do this procedure and know how it probably would'nt take an hour. Good luck.
