Steering problems

I have a 2006 2500 I've replaced the pump box and hydro boost. the pump lasts about a week and goes bad replaced the pump 3 times. box and hydro boost 2 times parts are reman from parts house any ideas why the pump gives up so fast

Strange! No suggestions for you, but do have a question. Each time that you have changed a component, did you flush the system? How did you flush the system? Considering all your problems, maybe you should consider either an in-line filter or a spin on oil filter. After my second power steering pump failure I installed an external Parker spin on oil filter and have not had any problems since then.

What name pump did you use. I removed the lines washed them out ran fluid through box till clean. Replaced cooler used air to push new fluid through hydro boost. Haven't tryed a filter

The pump that I used was a "new and improved" pump from a Dodge dealer. The housing looked different to the OE pump and included the reservoir. This was many years ago, so maybe it is different again.
