steering change on 07?

what changed witht he steering in 07 as opposed to earlier models. Looking at a mag in the store, it looks like the steering brace is only for up to 06 models. So what changed at the gear box in 07 that I dont need or have available the sector shaft support brace? or was the add just a misprint that I saw?

are they really required? were you guys seeing deflection at the sector shaft or having death wobble or vague steering?

I wasn't having trouble yet and might never have but figured better to install when everything is new and tight than wait for it to get worn and loose.
