steaming from under hood !!!

got home last night and got out of my truck to find it dripping coolant all over the driveway...........expecting the worse I eventually found the upper hose leaking near the neck on the block. Apparently the hose swelled due to age and was rubbing against the pulley underneath it. $20 bucks and an hour later I was good to go, guess it was about time after 102 thousand miles. By the way how easy is it to swap out the water pump if it should ever come to that ?

Sounds like that hose was too close to the pulley to begin with!

Getting the water pump out isn't too bad. I've done it on a 1st gen and it was pretty easy. On a third gen it looks like you'll need to get the shroud out of your way to get your hands in there. Might want to change the tensioner at the same time, just because you're already in there.
