Broger- I bought mine at Drenkow in Sheldon but I have started taking it to Lithia because they seem to know more abought them than Drenkow. I have heard before that Woodhouse loves to sell ya a vehicle but hates to work on them. I guess I will not be going to them for any repairs. If you can get ahold of Virgil Potter at Lithia he seems to be real knolagable abought our trucks. He is who I have work on mine when nesasary. I am not shure if he works on tranies to or just the cummins but he impressed me whith his knowlage.

See 2nd subject under "Terms & Conditions" off the Dodge website under their "Dodge Towing Guide" titled "Exhaust brake or "Jake Brake" requirement" - might clear this one up...

I have owned 4 different trucks with 48re's in em and have put 60-70k miles on them collectively with not so much as a hiccup out of any of em. This is pulling a loaded 3-car hauler on a weekly basis and the wife pulling the 6-horse LQ. All my trucks are bone stock. Guess I'm just lucky.

Jake brake is on the 2004 6 speed. I took the 2003 with the auto back to the dealer and traded with them. No more auto's for me.

bkruhow,
Thanks for the info. Lithias service manager was very helpfull in making Woodhouse solve my problems, they have never worked on my Truck mainly because they are 90 miles from my home. I just had the memory flashed and the high rpm at idle enabled at Motor Inn in Spirit Lake. My MPG has gone up 3 to 4 mpg on the overhead, I have not yet checked it manually.
They did check the tranny and found it is shifting as designed, but they agree that it should not need so much rpm to shift, they said there are not TSB's yet to help with this situation. I guess more people need to complain...
