Anyone actually notice a difference with boost elbow??
I haven't installed mine yet because on my 98 I saw no gain when I put it on. I don't have a boost guage so I won't be able to tell that way. If I won't see any performance gains I really don't want to waste my time because I'll have to pull it off each time I go to the dealer.
Dodgezilla,
You don't need the boost gauge as much as you need an EGT gauge. I think that the boost elbow, as much as anything else, helps keep the EGTs under control when you are using a box like the EZ. I installed the elbow when I installed the EZ so I don't have a comparison, but I know that with the elbow I have run into EGT issues when towing in the mountains. I've had to back off the go-pedal to keep my EGTs down to a safe level. I'm really glad that I have the gauges.
You are living dangerously running a box without gauges. JMHO.
