smoke/Rough starts in the morning

For a while I have been having rough starts with a puff of blueish white smoke on startups in the morning. I thought possibly a leaky injector since it only happens when the truck sits for 8+hours. I had a n oil analysis done by blackstone and the results came back very good with no fuel in oil. Since I was going on a long trip 17+hr drive , I decided to buy two containers of Delo Injector cleaner and run them through. Well it worked! no more rough starts/smoke at all for a couple weeks then it was back again. Seems like my driving routine is fouling up the injectors.... I guess my question is what type injector cleaners do you guys use that gives lasting results? I have tried stanadyne performance formula with no results, the only stuff that showed me some results was the delo cleaner but was short lived. Any ideas?

I recommend advancing the timing on your engine. It seems to help with idle fouling in my experience.

I am currently in a similiar situation..

- took it to dealer "A" 3 times..

- took video of exhaust plume and went to dealer "B" once. They found out quickly that #2 injector was acting up.

I used stanadyne..all stock. Biggest motivation I got was from a highly regarded aftermarket specialist/tuner who said that the smoke situation MUST be taken care of.

He was right.
