Slipping/no second gear

Was really hard on the truck this weekend with the boat on behind, noticed this morning soggy 1/2 shift that progressed into no second gear after couple of hours......Does this sound like a rear band adjustment??? Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Front band, not rear band. Better drop the pan and see if you burned it and/or hurt the front drum. Could be a simple adjustment or it could be worse. Sorry.

well, regardless how many times you posted it, and the fact the the posting police have caught up to you...

it would be the front band on the 48RE. Remember, 1-3/4 turns from firmly tight, then lock it down.
