Silly question

ive noticed that some of the 2004's have the black cover above the injection pump. and some (mine included) dont have the black cover. is it supposed to be like. that does it meen something?

yes it is a 6 speed

If it's the box I'm thinking of it's used to control the auto trans shifting, there is a cable from the accel pedal hooked to it.
