Has anyone ever removed the silencer ring and had the emissions light come on? This happened to a friend of mine, and he put the ring back in and the light went off. It's a 2005.

Hmmmm, maybe he removed the wrong ring? I have never heard of that one, definitely new one.

make sure you plugged the air sensor back in, I did the same thing and forgot and tripped the cel.

I have an '05 and removed the ring. There is no way that will cause any issues. I agree, check the sensor connection.
