Your going to have to catch the edge of the ring with your flat head and try to rotate it around.

Yeah I was messing with it for a while until I noticed that. You cant get to it with the flat head. you just have to lift it up and slide it out a bit and then you can work it around.

grab the little metal ring that it is holding in place, the silver part with pliers and yank it out. The clip will come out real easy after that. Learned this from experience, by accident!

A small flat tipped screw driver and a small pair of needle nose pliers are the tools to use to remove that silencer ring!

I used a small flat tipped screwdriver and a craftsman pick. I used the pick to get the end of the ring up, and the flattip to work out the ring. Took like 2 minutes, no scrapes or gouges in the turbo housing either.

Grab the cheap piece of tin silencer ring with a pair of vise grips and rip it out from behind the C-clip! Not the proper procedure but after 2 hours of playing with the C-clip, it sure felt good!!!

C-clip still there silencer ring removed!!

i used a little screwdriver. one end of the snap ring has a bevel take the little screwdriver and pry it up and out and then u can pull the rest of the snap ring out. Silencer will fall out after that. Had mine out in about ten seconds.

did mine yesterday, once the stubby screwdriver was lined up right it came out nice and easy, also pulled the baffles out of the intake tube, took me a few minutes to realize the dang thing comes apart and the just slide out. Got halfway through breaking them out with pliers before I figured out the top was just sealed on there. a screwdriver and a hammer popper her off pretty easily. a little sealant, and some duct tape for good measure, and the turbo SINGS!!!!!

A small pair of needle nose pliers + a good grip + a little finesse (so as not to break any thing) = a louder whistle than you had before
