Should we get free ATF+4 ?

I was looking on the web for some place to buy ATF+4 and found this article about DC possibly violating the Manguson-Moss Warranty Act. Has anyone heard of this issue?

Thanks for the Thread. I am a new Dodge diesel owner and was checking on what fluids to use when I hit the 15,000 mile mark. My last truck was a 96 Power Stroke that gave me 8 good years of service (except for the 10 different injectors replaced under warranty). But this new Dodge is a whole different world with it's power, quite ride, great handleing, and Super short turning radius. That old Ford took 1/2 an acre to do a U-turn!!
I haven't pulled my #10,000 boat yet, but am confident it will pull even better than the old Ford on the steep grades between Phoenix and Flagstaff when it is 110 degrees!
I really appreciate all the great knowledge everyone shares on this site . I feel like an old pro after only a few weeks!
Jim

Don't Ford and Chev use the same transfer case as us? I will be willing to bet that Chev recommends dextron III and Ford recommends their atf in their t-cases. Once my truck is off warranty I am going use dextron III in my truck.

You guys are all great! I read through all the old threads and went to my dealer this morning to order the 16 rubber plugs to replace the tape on the inner rocker panels and a new door rubber seal that had already torn. I would never have looked for this if not for all the help on this site The service manager asked me if I had been reading this web page!

So I'm guessing then you're not gonna have to pay for the plugs? and is the dealer going to install them or are they DIY?

The plugs and weather stripping will both be covered under warranty and the dealer will put them in. They were really nice about it. They sell a lot of trucks but I think I was the first person to mention the missing plugs. The service writer got the service manager to take a look and they both seemed surprised at the tape but said they have seen lots of strange things over the years

Thanks Big Jimbo, I think my dealer has already been aproached about them by other customers, but I don't know the result because I was dealing with the service writer not the SM. I may print your response to take with me.

Interesting info! That's why I don't see ATF+4 in stores.

Ok ladies and cannibals, I just splurged $16.50 a gallon for some ATF+4 at the local Chrysler dealership. Here's a pic of the back of the jug. I was under the impression after reading a couple of oil websites that ATF+4 was synthetic. I barely made it past the 12th grade but it looks to me like I"ve been hornswaggled! Does the writing on the jug say it all. Is ATF+4 synthetic or dinosaur squeazens?
Sorry bout the little bitty tiny size. I kept getting a flag saying no bigger than 500 feet wide.
