Some parts, like the pin for the ECM, are Cummins only parts. When I purchased mine, I tried the dealer first, they had no clue. Same problem with the clutch switch. When they tried to find the "kit" with the AA number in it, their computer basically said the kit didn't exist but it listed the component parts of the kit. We ordered the switch and it came in with a Jacobs name and part number stamped on it. I'm not wanting to fire you guys back up, but, most businesses that charge for their services do have a minimum charge, I do as well. As to whether the charge is reasonable, that's decided by the individual customer and usually based on the other businesses in that area that offer the same or similar services. I move dirt and I have a minimum charge for each of my machines and the charge is different based on the machine. I charge four hours for my skid steer for example, even if it only takes me thirty minutes do do the job. The standard in my area is 4 hours, that is what the market will bear. I believe that most of the "techs" do still want to take a measure of pride in their work, but dealerships also have to balance customer satisfaction against bottom line and the bottom line is what keeps the doors open. I do hate it that you had to spend the $$$ to find out that you already had the option enabled.

With that out of the way, Timmer, would you consider taking some pics of the ECM and posting them? There has been allot of talk about this procedure but I don't think anyone has taken any pics yet.
