2000 unloaded. 2500 loaded. when loaded you want to be doing at least 1500 rpm's when you enter the next gear.

no way shift at the lowest possible rpm to get the next gear the max that i shift at unloaded is 1500. theres no reason for more unless you want to waste fuel mabye that why so many complain about low mpg.

I usually shift at 1700-1800 when running around town. I don't like to shift at 1500, because the transmission rattles a bit when revs are under 1200.

Keep your boost under 10psi, and egt's under 600 for the best economy (at least that's what I've read that Cummins recommends).

Ussually around the 1700-1800rpm area. Too low and the tranny will complain, to high and your just wasting fuel. These are around town #'s, getting onto the highway is a different ball game.

I shift around 2k rpms. With the timing mod (Rokktech sensor) helps with the drivability at the lower rpms.

that counts for the speedo too for me although at times you look down and see 80kph in a 40kph zone then you get on the binders

If you shift without using the clutch for a while you will learn to feel it and find out where your trucks natural shift point is. This is not something to do all the time, but just to learn the feel of it and never loaded in these little ones.
