sensor on air intake hose????

I'm doing the BHAF (AH19002) and am using a 4" pipe for the connection between the filter and flex line. There is a sensor on the stock air box that is going to have to be mounted to the 4" pipe. What is this sensor for and is it going to mess with it if I mount it to the pipe? It looks like a vacuume sender to me. ???

Yeah I know, I'm beatin the filter thing to death. :P I just don't want to use an oiled filter on the roads I travel.

Thanks
Mule

IAT/AP Sensor (Intake Air Temp/Air Pressure). You'll definitely want to get that critter in the pipe after the BHAF. As long as you don't draw any kind of vacuum, the aftermarket system will help the ECM maintain proper fueling levels (the ECM defuels as that sensor detects lower pressure).

Rod
