Surely someone near you would swap tires and wheels I'd think. I have Dodge wheels on my CHev right now w/ 265's, but I'm too far away, sorry.
I would be willing, but as I stated in my previous post, I will be travelling the next 3 weekends with my truck...and I don't think he would want me driving all over with his 285's looking sweet on my truck and not his....

Sounds like you need a new dealer - which one are you going to? Arena?

I just can't see the 285's causing any problems... sounds like someone doesn't know how to balance a wheel...

Let me know if I can be any help.

what used to be tom hairagain, was bought out my the walker's, is now chrysler jeep dodge of dayton. my uncle is parts manager there, and has been there for 13+ years. and i worked there as a lot tech for about a year.

when i was there, thay were not a dodge dealer, voss was acrost the street, walker bought them out after i left, so i never did work with the new diesel tech, he came from voss dodge on loop road. where do you go? is arena any better? and i was thinking about going north to new carsile dodge, im sure with all the farmers out that way thay may do a lot of diesel work, but thay are mad at me:P i stole there truck and had it dealer traded to "my" dealer (chrysler jeep dodge of dayton) to buy it off one of the sales men that i got along with, so thay think i screwed them out of a sale

Road Force balancing is the best way to balance your tires. They take the rims off wheels and balance them, then put them back on the tires and balance the tires with rims on. There is a place around here that does it that way. Its the only way you know for sure that your wheels are balanced. Its more expensive but better.

Not a big fan of Arena - but have no experience with them and diesels. I bought my Dakota from them years back. I am no longer in the Dayton area, so the CTD I got from a dealer in Columbus - not a fan of them either, I would love to find one I could trust with a good diesel mechanic. I would think New Carlisle might be a good place to head for the same reason you stated.

Good luck with it all and let us know how it turns out.
