SB Con FE ?

I put a Southbend Con FE in my truck about 10 mo. ago and I think it is notmal but Sometimes it is next to impossible to get it in gear. If I let the clutch out in neutral it is really hard to get it to go back into gear, if I keep the clutch in I have no problems switching thru the gears. The other question is is it supposed to be as grabby as it is, I almost cannot release the clutch slowly enough to keep the truck from Bucking. the clutch seems more like an on/off switch. I think it is normal and I may just have to live with it because I have to have it to hold my horsepower.

maybe the clutch is dragging slightly so when it is depressed to release it, it isn't 100% releasing??? and if the input shaft is turning and the output isn't, it'll be hard if not impossable to get in to gear...

Did you put a little grease in the input shaft????
Sounds like the input shaft is turning.
I had to learn that lesson when I did my jeep clutch

My roommate just put one in his 01. Yes it's grabby and it's dang near impossible to come off the line without jerkiness. The only gear he has trouble getting it in is reverse. He orginally had trouble getting into 2nd. Turns out the shifter was loose. We also changed the tranny fluid and that helped also. Might be something to look into.
