I went in to Napa the other day for Motor Oil filters for my 92 and 07 cummins. They had different part number filters for each truck, but when I compare the 2 filters, the oring is the same, the threads are the same and the can size is the same....... Only differance seems to be that the 07 filter housing has some hand grip features stamped into it at the base....

Is that really the only differance??? Are these 2 motors supposed to accomodate the same oil filter PN?

My 94 takes the same as my 06, Well I should say that the new ones fit the old engine but its cheaper to use the non StrataPore ones on the older truck.

 

Genos says they are all the same 89-2007.5
