If I can find bio I run it. I do not notice a difference in power or mpg. The biggest difference in my opinion is bio does not smoke near as much in my truck as ulsd does.

They sell Baldwin filters for only $14, so I stock up on those too while I'm there.

The guys there are great and know their stuff (they make their own Biodiesel that they use for their trucks, stuff at the pump is retail so don't worry). With my truck having 211k on it they just told me not to go above 50/50% mix for a few tanks. Every thing has been great, no issues. I've filled up in the past many times from Love's Truck Stops which most have 5% blend at the pump. I keep my filters changed though, about every oil change.

$2.29 gallon at Houston Biodiesel
I use Baldwin filters in everything else. Is the filtration as good as what I get from the dealer? Don't want to be cheap with my baby...

I believe the Baldwin filters better then the stock Mopar filter. It is all I have run for the last 70K miles. Oh and I get them locally at a "Truck Pro" store for about $10.

Stovetop535 when you do get bio are you running B99 or are you running B20. I just ask cause that will make a differance if you see mpg change. B99 is 8.9% less BTU's. B20 is only 1.8 less then D2. Now I'm running B99 and can say I can't really tell any power differance by feel but mpgs are down some and it varies week to week.

B20. I have just read on forums about people that claim terrible power loss and mpg loss running B20 or even B5. Bio is kinda hard to come by here, I usually can only get it when I head out of state to see family. I would love to get something higher than B20 to run, just to compare. I really like how the truck runs with the bio and I wish there were more stations to purchase it at.

pretty sure cummins has nothing to do with warrany on our trucks. its all dodge's warranty on the cummine motor for the 100k....

been running b20 for years its great but now its so expensive compared to #2 i sometimes mix in a little just to lube things up

I've been running 100% homemade Biodiesel since November 2006. I've only put in diesel so I could have my pre 100k check done. Biggest problem is it doesn't smell like a stincky olde diesel truck anymore. It makes you alittle hungry when you are driving. Oh, did I say how much I saved when you guys were paying >$4.50G
