safe biodiesel plumbing

what kind on plumbing should i get for moving biodiesel and methanol and where can i get it. im figuring pvc from home depot will eventaully get eaten through. i was a sprinkler fitter for a while so would some 1" sch40 carbon steel pipe work? if not what do you guys use and where do you get it?

most folks use black iron pipe or diesel fuel hose for plumbing reactors and tanks. It will eat pvc hose pretty quick but you can get away with braided pvc for the low pressure stuff Id guess. The methanol will yellow and harden the stuff but thats ok.

Yep, I was taught to use black iron pipe. It will rust a bit but that does not seem to be a problem.
