04.5 has been running rough on first start up in the mornings ,sets inside overnite {temp.40's to 50's inside} . After work on cold days same in the 20's.Last 1 min. or less ,sounds like a flooding gas engine and smoking more than usaual .I noticed it's taking more cranking time than it use to also . Have edge with att. ,else is stock.What 's going on?: (

 

Do you run any addatives? That would be my first easy fix to try. Also when was the last time you did the fuel filter? 2 easy fixes to try that are under $20. One other thing white smoke or black smoke. And do you push your Edge back to stock on start up?

 

I use amsoil fuel additive. I thought of turning off the edge ,tried it this morn. it was better but temp. was warmer today 25 .Temps were in the low teens. Fuel filter is not due yet. May try it tho. Is the edge suppose to be off during cold start up?
