Rubber on Rubber clutch peddle squeek noise
Does anyone else have a squeeky clutch peddle on their G56?. I had my clutch master cylinder replaced because of the same noise 10k miles ago. Now the noise is back, and my buddy has a 06 Mega with the same problem.
The noise is realy bad when the outside temp hot (above 80).

At any rate, I lubed it and it stopped. Took it to DC for service and supposedly they lubed it and replaced the foam piece.. 5k miles later i notice it squeaks again. Dunno, wd-40 worked but not sure that's ideal.
This rubber on rubber noise feels and sounds more like its something in the master cylinder or slave, almost like the hydraulic fluid is transmitting the noise back to the peddle. My dealer said he would install a 3rd assembly, "but the noise would come back" is what he stated and "They all do it".
I'm wondering if there is some kind of additive to use in the fluid to quiet things up a little? Or is there a aftermarket slave cylinder made for the dodge I can swap in?
This is my 2nd DOdge CTD (first was a 1998 very early 24V,4x4,CC) I have no other complaints about this 05. The brakes are much better than the 98 too!.
I still wish I kept that old 98, It was a powerhouse and a good 4wheeler too.
Doug.

Yup, I saw this last year when I went to Vegas. It was 115 degrees F there. I reported it hear and after reading a few peoples posts, I just decided to lube the clutch pedal pivot shaft. The pivot shaft goes through a rubber bushing and it felt like it was running dry. I suspect however, the bushing was getting hot and sticky.
Hit it with some lube of some sort. I wish I could find an easy way to pull the bushing out to be sure. I'm sure it's dry.

My 06 has done it since it was new, and yes it is more of a rubbery grinding feel, like the piston seal is binding or grabbing, it used to even pop sometimes near the end of the stroke. I have silicon lubed the joint which helped a little, but i still notice it sometimes. I'm glad to hear others are having the same prob, maybe it is "normal", anyway ill take mine in when it stops working!!!
