I just changed my oil this weekend with my first batch of synthetic. I found a spot that sold me the Royal Purple for 6 bucks a quart and awhile back I was given some Rislone so I made the switch.

First impressions: OMG I cannot believe how much quieter the engine is (from inside the cab). . Startup seemed a bit easier too. I am hoping this is an early indicator that mileage may improve as well. I will keep you posted.

I had always struggled with the price, but now that the warranty is expired, I figured I would just do the maintenance myself and spend the same amount of money.

Has anyone else seen positive results after switching?
