I just bought some valvoline premium blue synthetic....was this a bad choice? I just got this truck a week or so ago and wanted to do an oil service this weekend. Should I take this oil back and get something else?

 

No its not a bad choice and its safe to use in your truck. My self think its better then Rotella 5w40 yet some like Rotella better, anyway its your choice of what oil to use.

 

PB is fine as long it is the "old" blend or "classic".

The question you should be asking yourself is.........is this oil CJ blend or CI-4+ blend? You want CI-4+ since your truck is an 03.

I will need to look at the bottles and find out. I got it from the local napa store.
