Rotella for the 06's?

Rotella for the 06's?

I use to run Shell Rotella in my 99 CTD,Is this oil still a good choise for the 06 trucks?

It is for the 05's and I'm using it right now. Check what your owners manual states for requirements.

40 percent of the members who voted in a recent poll on DTR, said they use and recommend Shell Rotella T 15w40.


All the other brands, dino and synthetic.........shared the other 60 percent.



I use it and change it every 5k along with a Fleetguard Stratapore filter. There is no major differences (if any) between the 04.5-06 trucks. My oil samples all look great according to Blackstone Labs.

I run it in my 01 and have been for the last 100,500 miles. Personally, I don't think there's any difference really between the dino oils. Nor is there enough of a difference between the synthetics to notice the difference.
