Rooster Comb

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has a picture of the rooster comb? I have the classic "shifting out of park" dilemma as many other dodge owners. Also I assume changing out the valve body would also change the rooster correct?

Thanks for the help!

MadHat will have me doing push ups until the ants know me by my first name but I just couldn't resist.

That is funny however, I am looking for some pics of filing the comb to smooth out the shifting in my 48RE.

Or if I swap out the VB I assume there will be a new "comb" in place.

Dave at Goerend does a good video of the problem. Search on Youtube.

Thanks. I have been debating doing the fix myself and upgrading a few items such as a kit and governor, or to just buy a Valve body to swap out. Any recommendations?

My tranny has 70,000 and sometimes Park sticks, and this just P**** me off. I usaully rock the truck, and it will free it a tad. I need to park, put in neutral apply the parking break, then go into park.

I have a Goerend valve body. It works great. Dave can set it up any way you want.

Called Goerend and Dave is going to be gone for the next few weeks. So looks like I will have to wait to talk to him. Been looking at the Sonnex Sure Fix kit pretty heavily. I guess I would like to keep the stock valve body until it has to be modified. I don't want to place oversived parts unless I have too.
