Replacing battery cables--need help

Okay, so Ive removed both negative cables no problem, then removed the positive from passenger side and it snakes across to the driver's side and disconnects from that positive. But man that driver's side positive looks like a mess to try and get disconnected. I can't even see where it connects somewhere down at the bottom of the block and then another part goes off into a bunch of wires that are all taped together and I don't know how it disconnects either. Now the good part maybe is the driver's side positive looks to still be in good condition so maybe I just replace what I've removed and the batteries and all is good?

Thanks

why you changing the cables?

03 left battery positive goes to the starter and powers the fuse box under the hood, there not that bad to change on a 03.
