Replacement Lift Pump
After pulling off the freeway the other day and sitting at a light the truck died. I got it restarted and made it to the next light where it died again. I got it restarted and made to the dealer parking lot, changed the fuel filter, and it wouldn't start. The truck has 83k miles, I end up in a moderate amount of stop and go traffic, so I guess the idling time is the killer of these pumps as I've been using a fuel additive from day one. The dealer installed the in tank pump under the 100k warranty and even waived the $100 deductable. The truck runs noticeably better now, is a bit quieter, and some things behave differently, perhaps because they reflashed the PCM too.
Dodge has always treated me well, starting with buying the truck.

I'm not sure if it's the same with our 3rd gens, (hopefully someone lets us know) but a guy at work had hist lift pump quit on hi 2001, he had it fixed under warranty. Not long after his injector pump quit, again covered by his warranty.
Maybe our CP3's are different? I know they'll actually draw from the fuel tank without the lift pump working, but if that's the case how come your truck stalled?
