Remote Starter

I would like to buy a remote starter for my 06 dodge ram 2500 mega cab and i would like to know if this is possible. If so what brand to go with. I DONT need a alarm system i just want a remote starter. thanks Guys.

I have a compustar 2 way FM starter on my 06. So far so good

Jeez, thats a good question, I think they are sold at all better install shops. I got mine from a local place that does starters, radios and phone installs.

Is it possible to have a remote start on a manual with out voiding the warranty.

Boarbuster, where are ya in Texas? Im in San Antonio and untill 3 months ago I could only find Compustar tech's in Austin (close to me). Now Mother's has techs to install here.

I have the Valet remote starter and it works fine. Not every installer is willing to put it on a manual, but it can be done safely. My son has one on his Neon 5-speed and it works fine.

what about the high idle? i'd like to be able to start the truck, and kick up the high idle for when it's cold

My high idle kicks in after 3 minutes of idling automatically any time it is under 32 degrees. Had to disable the overspeed detection on the remote starter to keep it from shutting the engine down though.

I've had the Mopar remote start on both my 05 and 06 and been happy with it not sure if it works with a manual tranny though.
