Mine has not had a regen in 15K miles, and my fuel mileage has improved also.

Mine has 3K miles I don't think it has gone into regen yet? I drive it hard and use the up idle when parked. Where do you unplug the EGR?

yes it has gone into regen, you just didnt notice. There are no lights or bells that go off when it is in regen. Only way to tell on the 2010's is to watch your mpg meter for when it drops for a while. To be honest, i rarely notice when mine goes into regen but i knwo it does every 200-250 miles as stated above.

Jim, you must have deleted your DPF ? Of course your mileage is going to improve when you unplug/ delete the EGR and or DPF.

I watch the mileage meter almost all the time...never noticed a 4-5mpg decrease yet...unless I'm pulling a trailer.

you are not going to see a 4-5 mpg drop. maybe 1-2 depending on how long ago it is reset. Everyone is having regens fairly often unless their systems are deleted

I thought if you unplugged the EGR connection the regen cycles would drop significantly. Right now after driving about 600 miles since unplugging the EGR my cycles have continued every 200 or so miles and it lasts for about 20 miles. It drops my mpgs down to about 14-15mpgs compared to about 19-20mpgs when it's not in the regen cycle. From what I can tell thus far my highway mpgs have increased about 1-2mpgs. However, I don't understand why the cycle's haven't decreased. Also, am I supposed to unplug that additional plug to the left of EGR plug?
